Fundraising for Teesside Hospice
I am running the Lisbon Marathon in October this year in honour of my big brother and the important work done by Teesside Hospice. My brother lost his battle to cancer and Teesside Hospice gave him support, love, care and generosity right until the end. They also provided our family with a great amount of comfort and solace during such a difficult time.
The hospice changes lives by supporting people and their families, offering light and relief when there is pain and darkness. All of the services are free of charge, with an aim to improve the quality of life and care for those suffering. It is their mission to make sure that nobody is scared or alone.
Each year it costs £3.2 million to support over 3000 people across Teesside. With NHS funding covering around a third of this, the rest of their work is funded by individuals, organisations, businesses and foundations who support them. The hospice needs to raise £5,600 each and every day to keep their services running.
My family will be forever grateful to Teesside Hospice and I would really appreciate if you could support me in my mission to thank them.
