Story

On September 7th I will be taking part in a 15,000ft sky dive for Air Ambulance NI

Air Ambulance NI, is a charity in Northern Ireland which work in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region.

For many, AANI is more than just a service; it's a lifeline. It provides the reassurance that, no matter where or when disaster strikes, help is always on its way. The air ambulance crew, consisting of skilled pilots, paramedics, and doctors, work tirelessly to ensure that every second counts. Their bravery and dedication often mean the difference between life and death.

Witnessing their incredible work and understanding the crucial role they play in our community inspired me to take a leap of faith—literally. I have decided to do a skydive to raise funds for Air Ambulance NI. This decision wasn't made lightly; it came from a deep place of gratitude and a desire to give back to those who give so much to others.

For me, the thought of jumping out of an airplane at thousands of feet is both exhilarating and terrifying. But it's a small challenge compared to the daily risks and challenges faced by the AANI team. By taking on this skydiving challenge, I hope to raise awareness and much-needed funds to ensure that AANI can continue their lifesaving missions. The money raised will go directly towards maintaining the helicopters, training the crew, and ensuring that this invaluable service remains operational.

The Air ambulance rely on donations from the public and businesses to keep their services operational, AANI relies on donations, needing £6,850 daily and £2.5 million annually to keep flying! My skydiving journey is a personal way to honor their courage and to contribute to a cause that truly makes a difference. Hope that, together, we can support Air Ambulance Northern Ireland in their mission to save lives and bring hope to those in their darkest moments. This is for them, for the heroes in the sky, and for every life they touch.
