Story
My amazing mum Jane was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2021, 10 years after her primary diagnosis. After finding out about her diagnosis mum felt very lonely and scared, even with the support of her family. She then discovered the Future Dreams Charity which offered incredible support and allowed her to meet lots of other amazing people going through the same thing. Future Dreams hosts so many classes which allows people to unite and feel good. I will forever be grateful for Future Dreams and all of the amazing team who have made my mum feel welcome and brought her happiness throughout this difficult journey she is on.
Harry and I are taking part in the London to Brighton cycle to raise money for Future Dreams so they can continue to help people who have been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Future Dreams is raising funds to support women through their breast cancer journey. FD works on a number of campaigns to create awareness and fund research projects, with a main focus on secondary breast cancer.
Over 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes according to Breast Cancer Care. To date Future Dreams has raised over £5m pledging funds towards the charities three aims - support, awareness and research, focusing on secondary breast cancer.
