The RNLI Tower Run is Londons biggest stair climb challenge, with runners tackling over 1400 steps whilst raising money to support the RNLIs lifesaving work in London and along the UK coastline.

Story

I am taking part in the 2024 RNLI Tower run: Britain's tallest and toughest stair run with over 1500 steps spread across 58 floors at 22 Bishopsgate, London.

I have never taken part in any sort of race or charity sporting event before. I've picked a tough one to start with but that's ok because the point is to challenge myself and put the last 2.5 years of gym effort to the test. With a frankly wild training plan (concocted by me, some dudes at the gym and ChatGPT,) 10 weeks and a hype playlist; my aim is to get to the top of the tower with a time I'm happy with, hopefully keep my calves in tact and raise some funds for the wonderful RNLI.

Any donation you can spare will be hugely appreciated by both the RNLI and myself.

Every pound and penny raised will go towards equipping our volunteer lifeboat crews with the essential training, kit, boats and materials required to continue our lifesaving mission for years to come.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
