I will be running 50k in 50 days to raise awareness for meningitis. After losing my grandad (who i called Poppy) in March this year to meningitis i feel as though there isn’t enough awareness spread about meningitis.

My Poppy was a healthy man just about to celebrate his 70th birthday. In just 24 hours meningitis took over unexpectedly. After spending 2 weeks on life support meningitis won, leaving a Patrick Ellis shaped hole in mine and my families heart.

I will be running 50k in 50 days in memory of the greatest man i knew, my poppy.
