Story

I am running the London Marathon 2025 for CCLG. Every penny raised will help to research and help shape a better and brighter future for all young people affected by cancer.

Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer and around 1 in 8 children do not survive. Every pound you donate for #TeamCCLG will help to fund information and research that enables quicker diagnosis and kinder more effective treatments, shaping a future where every child diagnosed with cancer survives to live happy, healthy and independent lives.

CCLG is a fantastic charity and one that is very close to my heart. It champions the Multi-Professional approach and sets professional standards to optimise the outcomes and rehabilitation of Children with Cancer. My father has recently retired from his clinical role as a Paediatric Oncologist and is due to retire from his post as Chair of the CCLG in 2025. To celebrate his career, I wanted to raise money in his name. I also want to raise money in celebration of all of the fantastic children I have worked with as a Children's physiotherapist. The vital research carried out by CCLG into both medical care and rehabilitation has ensured that they all get the best and most up to date treatment, and as a result, the best chance of living a well and fulfilling life.
