Ella's fundraiser for CoppaFeel!

Hackney Half Marathon 2025 · 18 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In May, I’m going to be running the Hackney Half Marathon, not only to challenge myself but to help raise awareness for a cause that has impacted not only my life, but sooo many people in many ways. I am going to be running and raising money for an amazing Charity: CoppaFeel!
In 2011, I lost my mum to breast cancer. I have forever been in awe of her strength and bravery throughout such a scary time. More recently, my step mum, auntie & Nan have been through their own journeys with this horrid illness. Seeing them come out the other side stronger than ever is a testament to discovering it at an early stage. Their resilience and strength will always be an inspiration to me. They are also the reason that I want to raise money for a charity who work tirelessly to educate young people on the importance of checking themselves regularly, so they can spot the signs of breast cancer early. The earlier the cancer is caught, the better the chances of survival, and CoppaFeel! is making sure young people know exactly how to be more aware.
I am super grateful for all donations, however big or small to help go towards a charity doing amazing things. Thank you so much!
Here’s how your donation will make a difference:
* Early Detection Education: CoppaFeel! provides accessible resources to help young people understand how to check their breasts and know what to look out for.
* Support for Survivors: They help those affected by breast cancer by providing ongoing support through recovery and beyond.
* Life-Saving Research: CoppaFeel! funds essential research into breast cancer to help improve treatments and outcomes.
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest.
We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
