I've been fortunate enough to secure a sponsored place on the Tatton Park 10k on Saturday 9th March and Manchester Half Marathon on 26th May, to raise money for The Hut Group's (LOOKFANTASTIC’s) employee-voted charity of the year The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester.

I've only recently got into running more frequently after joining the Myprotein run club through work as well as swapping city for countryside runs for my training, such as along the Tissington Trail that starts in my hometown of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. I'm really excited to set my mind to these challenges to see what I can achieve!

The Christie is the charity I voted for as leading experts in cancer care, research and education; this is a cause close to my heart as I recently lost my beloved Auntie Jules to this devastating disease in October 2022 and I hope it inspires others to do something charitable this year in her memory, as I know it’s something that unfortunately affects all of us.

She was always supportive of my ambitions and endeavors and I know she will be super proud of me, as much as I am proud of her two daughters (my wonderfully talented cousins who inspire me to do more sport!). I just wish I could hear her contagious laugh one last time to get me through, but I know she will be with me all the way!

I'll also be running the Great North Run Half Marathon in September for a charity that helped my Auntie specifically.
