Ride for Rhinos 25

Ride for Rhinos · 25 January 2025
So some might be wondering why on earth I've started running. The answer is below....
Ella and I are so very excited for what will be the most amazing opportunity and experience. But.....it's a not going to be a normal "hack" out in the saddle down the lane then home...
Ride for Rhinos is a unique safari on horseback that takes place annually in the Waterberg, South Africa. The purpose is to raise funds for rhino conservation and community support for the region, by helping to bring opportunity and economic benefit. The Waterberg is one of the last bastions of our rhino population on the planet and so needs all our support to ensure that these magnificent animals have a future.
There are 12 places available for experienced riders. The Ride starts on the 15,000 acre reserve belonging to Ant Africa Safaris, before setting out across the stunning landscape of the Waterberg. Over the week, we will ride with rhino, canter with giraffe, camp under the African night sky and make friends for life. It truly is an adventure of a lifetime that requires determination, a level of fitness and a sense of humour to make the distance of 250km, 6-7 hours a day in the saddle.
We are covering all our own costs and am raising money to support the amazing charity 'Ride for Rhinos 2025' every penny of our fundraising page will go directly to this most amazing charity. Please help support in anyway you can.
Were excited for this challenge and epic adventure.
Big thank you to all that are able to help.
So much love and thanks
Lizzie and Ella xx
