Campaign by Berkshire MS Therapy Centre (RCN 800419)
To mark 40 years since Berkshire MS Therapy Centre was founded, our members are taking on the challenge of covering 1,984 miles in 3 weeks. With no NHS funding, we rely on generous donations to deliver over 13,000 treatments each year.

Story

I am taking part in the GO1984 challenge to help raise funds for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre in Reading which first opened its doors to people living with Multiple Sclerosis in 1984. This is a virtual challenge and the team hope to cycle 1984 miles on exercise bikes at the centre’s gym or at home We have a target fundraising figure of £7,000 in order to continue to offer support with health and wellbeing with treatments and therapies such as physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, Pilates, Tai Chi, counselling and many others. I had my first MS attack in 1984 and have had support from the MS centre at various times since then. The staff and volunteers are amazing and so enthusiastic in their work. I do hope you can support me in raising funds so they can continue their vital role in supporting people living with MS.
