Raising Suicide Awareness Across the Country One Step at a Time.
Liz, Michelle and Kim will be walking over 200 miles ( the number of school age children lost to suicide each year in the UK according to latest figures 2018 ) linking the homes of and in memory of our sons; Seb ( 17 ), Max ( 17 ) and Hayden ( 21) who all sadly, took their own lives.
The walk is to raise awareness of suicide prevention and the hugely valuable work of PAPYRUS, a charity which believes that most suicides can be prevented and that no young person should have to suffer alone with thoughts of suicide.
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.
Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
