Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2018, I ran the Brighton Marathon for my dear friend Jane and her family, who had lost her husband, Con, to pancreatic cancer in three shockingly quick weeks. Since then, I have run three Royal Park Half Marathons as well.

Sad to say that just too many friends and family turn out to have lost someone to PC.

I choose to run for PCRF because pretty much all the money raised goes directly into research - research into the causes of PC or into finding ways of earlier diagnosis of it (of which more later down the line). So I have decided that 2024 is another year of fundraising for me.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT a runner. And I know, from my last experience, that the training is hard hard hard! But I also know that your support means everything to me in every single run. Support is such a motivator.

So thank you in advance for your support. x

RCN 1155322
Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
