We provide life-saving treatment to men in suicidal crisis.

Story

At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. Yet, in the UK suicide is still the single leading cause of death of men under 50. We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis to help them find hope for the future.

We're remembering Tom and all other loved ones who we've lost on this walk.

Elite Pubs is so excited to be holding our first ever charity dog walk in aid of James’ Place!

If you’re struggling:

Text: SHOUT to 85258

Call: 116 123

A charity dog walk in aid of James’ Place. The walk will be 3.5km starting from The Poacher and Partridge and take around 1 hour.

We will be holding a raffle before the walk where prizes include gifts from Maidstone United football club, Elite Pubs and more. Raffle prices are £1 per strip – cash on the day. Please follow the link below to confirm your attendance.

Customers will receive 25% off food on the day.

When you return we’ll have live music into the afternoon!

The walk will take place on Sunday 7th July and the walk will commence at 11am. Arrival from from 10.30 to get your raffle tickets! Raffle prize winners announced when we arrive back to the pub about 12-12.30pm.

This walk is in the ‘easy’ category however, there will be aspects of the walk that require manoeuvring over short public footpath fences as well as walking on different terrain with potentially long grass. Suitable footwear is advised. People of all ages encouraged! Prams are not advised.

Dogs will need to be kept on leads as there is some road walking and live stock may be present along the walk. Please note that if the weather is set to be above 22 degrees on the day, the walk will be cancelled and rescheduled – the welfare of the dogs is our priority. If the weather is above 20 degrees, we will shorten our walk. If, on the day, you’re concerned about your dog’s welfare – please alert a member of staff.

We require all dogs to be up to date with their vaccinations. If you have a reactive dog, please email our team at eventstribe@elitepubs.com to make us aware.

We suggest a minimum of a £5 donation to James’ Place to take part in the walk but please be as generous as you can! 🙂 Donate below
