I am so excited to have been chosen for this opportunity, through Ulster University, to go to Uganda this summer (2024) with an awesome and dedicated team of volunteers! We will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant, functional playground so that children can access a childhood!

Your generous support will enable Play Action International to create a legacy of play within the local community where so that we can create an environment where children's development and well-being are supported and children are able to learn essential skills that will allow them to reach their potential. As a result of playgrounds being built, schools report that:

- 98% report an increase in attendance in school.

- 74% of children gave 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 83% of teachers reported improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.

Additionally, this project won't only benefit the kids and families of the community we will be joining in Uganda, but will also be extremely valuable and rewarding to our own lives, through a sense of fulfillment and providing to those less fortunate.
