Story

Elisabeth died peacefully at home on September 25th, surrounded by her family. She had a long and happy life that was filled with energy, love and kindness.

From an early age, she developed a passion for the arts, playing the piano and violin, and leading her school choir. She regularly walked home from school and used the money saved from her bus fares for trips to the Old Vic theatre.

This passion extended through her life and into her teaching. In her roles as Headmistress of Laverock School in Oxted and then at Russell House in Otford, she inspired everyone to participate in music and drama, while developing their talents in every direction.

In her memory, her family have linked with the National Youth Arts Trust to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds get involved with music and drama and develop their talents.

Please share your memories of Elisabeth.

About the charity

We provide bursaries for music lessons, dance classes and drama school (recall) audition and tuition fees to those who cannot afford to fund themselves and we set up and run youth theatre projects in areas where there is little or no such provision.
