Fundraising for Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Support Group
Our youngest daughter, Phoenix, was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS) when she was 19 months old. We have since been doing all we can to provide her with the support she needs to reach her full potential.
The RTS Support Group has been pivotal in our journey thus far as it has offered us the opportunity to understand more about this incredibly rare syndrome and we have greatly benefitted from having a community of people who can rely upon each other for support when needed.
We are organising a charity fundraising event where a group of us are going to climb the Three Peaks in 24 hours on 7th October 2023! This is going to be a massive challenge for me and I have kicked off an intense training schedule to help me succeed.
The money raised from the Three Peaks Challenge will contribute towards the RTS Support Group’s co-funding of a PhD student with Aston University to carry out research into mental health in RTS, as well as providing other RTS families with vital support.
I am extremely excited to be doing something to ensure that the charity can continue to do great things that will help Phoenix and others with their development. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most gratefully received.
