Story
I'm taking on the challenge of a half marathon (a daunting distance for me!) for a very good cause: to raise money for The Alzheimer's Society, in memory of my wonderful Granny who passed away in 2022. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease. One in 3 of us will get some form of dementia in our lifetimes and it is the most common cause of death in the UK.
Anyone who knows me well will know that running hasn't always come naturally to me, and it still doesn't! However I can't think of any better motivation for dragging myself around central London for 13.1miles than helping to fund vital research into cures for the disease which Granny bravely grappled with for many years. Luckily, for extra support, I've managed to cajole/bully my lovely friends Lily and Hannah into running with me so we can share the pain!
Any donations you're able to give, however large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
