I’m ‘running’ the Edinburgh 1/2 Marathon now !!! Yeah RIGHT NOW!!!

Jack and his friends are doing the marathon. We are all trying to raise as much money for Scotstar and Ronald McDonald Charities.

Many of you know my grandson Jackson’s story. Born a month early, after a difficult birth, Jackson took seriously ill in the first few weeks of his life.

In the 24th of June 2022, at a month old, he was placed on a ventilator and transferred by SCOTSAR to Edinburgh Children’s hospital. As a family this was one of the scariest days of our life.

Jackson was treated so well in Edinburgh but it’s equally important for parents and family to be supported too. Ronald McDonald House was an amazing place for us to stay to be close to Jackson 24 hours a day. Without this, his stay there would have been so much more difficult for Amie and Jack.

When we left Ronald McDonald I pledged to myself I’d give them something back ❤️. Jackson is 2 today so what better way that to drag my ass round 13.2 miles !!! So trainers on and here I go !!!!
