Story
On Sunday 6th October, I will run the Jersey Marathon and 3 weeks later on 27th October, the Dublin Marathon. I’m raising funds for Clic Sargent (Jersey) in Callum McNulty’s memory.
Clic Sargent (Jersey) is a local charity and all of the money raised will help local children and their families. I have seen first-hand the incredible support they provide to families. On 21st July 2022 sadly we lost Callum to Ewing Sarcoma, at the young age of 18. He was an amazing young man, who was loved by a huge circle of family and friends. Callum spent 6 months in the UK and a further 2 months in Germany having treatment and Clic Sargent (Jersey) were instrumental in supporting him, his Mum Joanne and his Dad Alan.
I want to raise funds to give back to this amazing charity, in memory of a young man who was a massive part of our lives. Callum loved to hear about my running stories, we hoped that the next time I ran the Jersey marathon, he would run some of it with me, so it is fitting that I raise money in his memory. This is the reason I’m taking on the challenge of two marathons in the space of three weeks. It won’t be easy, but when it gets tough I’ll remember Callum’s resilience throughout his treatment, particularly when he had to learn to walk again.
Please donate whatever you can, it will make a difference in the lives of families who need support. Please remember Callum, the amazing young boy that fought so hard.
Forever 18, Forever Loved ❤️
