Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

To mark a year of loosing my beautiful granny I have decided to run my first Marathon race in her memory.

My Gran sadly lived with Dementia for the last 10 years of her life. Watching my Gran live with such a cruel disease was one of the toughest things myself and my family had to watch, and something nobody should live with.

My Gran was truly 1 in a million. Her smile would light up a room even in her final years of being with us and something I will remember forever. Any donations are appreciated. Words can’t explain how much I miss her. I hope I’m making her proud 🤍

Sadly, there is no current cure for dementia and only a few forms of drug treatments are available, that is why Alzheimer Scotland aim to provide as much support as possible to people living with dementia, and their families and carers.
