Story

In Celebration of Charlotte Highwood.

See Emma's message below - which says it all really. We just need to rise to the challenge 😊

In June 2025, I have challenged myself and some 'willing' friends to take on the Lake District Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. Our challenge... a 25 mile hike around Ullswater!

For me, this is about doing something positive, giving back, and helping me to make sence of the past year. In celebration of my late wife, Charlotte Highwood, June 14th is my way of helping to underpin hope and possibilities for others living with cancer.

And on that note, I ask you to support each of us to reach our individual £250 pledges.

£250 can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.

Thank you

Emma - Team Highwood
