Story
Engineers in Action UCL is a student led chapter of the charity Engineers in Action. We take part in their Bridge Program, in which we are paired with another chapter and an underserved community in a developing country. We work throughout the academic year to design and fundraise for the bridge, then over summer, a group of our students will build the real bridge alongside the local community!
This year we are working with Oregon State and Western Ontario universities and we are designing a bridge in Eswatini! It will serve two communities with over 7000 members, connecting them to essentials such as schools, hospitals and markets.
We are passionate about this project as it creates opportunities for so many people. In Eswatini a community will access resources and have opportunity for growth, in London our students learn about international development, construction and project management!
We need your support to make this beautiful project happen! Please consider donating here - every little counts! Our current crowdfunding goal is £3000 by the end of 2023, so join us to reach it!
