Story
September 2022 our daughter Florence was born two months premature with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. The condition results in reduced blood-flow to the lungs which causes breathing difficulties and blue-spells.
Three trips through the Evelina Paediatric Intensive Care Unit over the next six months, an emergency stent procedure and later on Valentines Day her corrective open-heart surgery we were out the other side.
At an uncertain time, we remember the sense of relief of moving from a general hospital to the Evelina to be greeted with an extraordinary level of care, passion and expertise.
Every year more than 103,000 children receive this same level of care and I would love to be able to contribute in a small way to the continuation of this. I'm extremely fortunate to have been given a place to run the London Marathon in 2025 for the Evelina Children's Charity and much appreciate all your support for a very worthy cause.
Thank you in advance.
