Story
On the 30th April 2024, TEN of us Norfolk folk, aged from 13 - 60 (!!) are travelling together from Norwich to West Africa to take part in the Sierra Leone marathon for Street Child! We have connected via various churches across Norfolk, and share a passion to help the world’s most vulnerable.
Street Child was founded by a local Norwich family - the Dannatts. It is currently one of the fastest growing international children’s charities, and does a phenomenal job in making sure that children are safe, in school and learning - in some of the world’s toughest places. Street Child operates across 20 countries delivering vital child protection programming and education to children affected by conflict, natural disasters, emergencies and economic crisis.
Street Child needs our support! ALL funds raised by our group will go directly to the charity (not to pay for our trip, this is paid for by us privately). As well as running, we will visit some of the Street Child projects, witnessing first hand the impact of the charities work. Please consider donating and joining this exciting and important journey by lending your support!! This fundraising effort sends a message of love and encouragement from Norfolk. EVERY pound makes a difference, and every donation is a huge encouragement to our team!! Thank you so much!! 😊
