Story
Since fundraising for the MACC fund throughout college, I've learned deeply about the amazing and dedicated work the MACC fund has been able to sponsor, and how crucial research funding is to eliminating cancer in children.
As I prepare to return to the Madison Ironman course for the 70.3 race, I wanted to take the opportunity to continue to support what I believe is one of the best charities in Wisconsin.
To make the fundraising effort more fun, for every $100 donated I will swim a mile in lake Michigan in preparation for my half Ironman. Feel free to check out @ironman_eddie on Instagram to see your donation shouted out and follow along with my training and fundraising progress.

MACC fund background:
The MACC Fund was founded in 1976 by Jon McGlocklin and Eddie Doucette, to raise money for childhood cancer and blood disorders research. Since inception, the MACC Fund has CONTRIBUTED over $79 million to research and has seen cure rates rise from 20% to just over 80% today. While this is excellent progress, much work remains to be done, and the MACC Fund will not rest until no child is lost to cancer or related blood disorders.
The MACC Fund supports research conducted at Children's Wisconsin, the Medical College of Wisconsin, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the Marshfield Clinic.
Every donation, large or small, makes a significant impact on the lives of kids battling cancer and related blood disorders. Your generosity will save kids lives.
