Story

We are delighted to invite you to EduSpots' Annual London Event on Saturday 2nd March from 6:30pm.

The event will be a unique opportunity for you to hear more about EduSpots recent work and impact and celebrate our recent successes! Across 2023, we have transformed our programmes and wider organisation, doubling our funding in the last year and extending the depth and reach of our innovative model for community-led education.

At this event, you will have the chance to meet some of the UK-based team, and hear from our special guest, Tom Ilube CBE.

Tom is an entrepreneur, educational philanthropist and chair of the Rugby Football Union. He was ranked first in the Powerlist 2017, an annual listing of the UK's 100 most powerful people with African or Afro-Caribbean heritage. Tom is Chair of the African Gifted Foundation and Founder of the African Science Academy, Africa's first all-girls science and maths academy. You will have the chance to learn more about EduSpots' long-standing collaboration with the African Science Academy, whereby several of its graduates have set up Spots in their communities across Ghana.

This special event will be held at Lift Islington, 45 White Lion St, London, with tickets at £45 in support of books by African authors. If you are available to attend, please RSVP to my colleague Maddie, at mmcbroom@eduspots.org, by 20 February to secure your place and leave a donation of £45 on this page.

If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to support us with a donation please do make a donation onto this page. We also welcome any donations of items for the auction or raffle.

We would be thrilled to have the opportunity to see you in person and celebrate all that the EduSpots network has collectively achieved over the last few years.
