Some say I must be crazy, some say I must be mad,

But if there’s one that I’ve realised over the last year that I’ve had,

Is that I can conquer anything I set my mind upon,

So this Sunday I’ll be running The London Marathon.

I’ve had injuries to deal with, taken antibiotics by the bucket,

But after a lot of milling over, I’ve decided to say F**K IT!

Because after a whole year of not drinking, this has always been to me,

The final chapter on my journey of complete sobriety.

I’ve talked to family, friends and Laura my physio-supreme,

Who all agree that I should do it, that is the common theme.

So, I’ll be lining up on Sunday alongside 50,000 other runners,

School teachers, solicitors, Olympic athletes and plumbers.

It’s a bitter-sweet time for me, as I reflect on how far I’ve come,

And will be my motivation as around the London streets I run.

And in doing so I hope that I can raise much needed funds for,

Ty Hafan the children’s charity, for which I am an ambassador.
