This May, I am calling on your help to support dementia care in the Mater Public Hospital.

I am taking part in the Mater Hospital Foundation's 31 Miles in May challenge to support Dementia Care in the Mater Hospital. I am doing this in memory of my Mam who had Dementia/ Alzheimer's for the last 9 years of her life and passed away on Oct 19 2008. A fantastic woman who I miss so much.

Mater Hospital Foundation is committed to being there to support patients in the Hospital.

With the help of challenges like these, the Foundation has already supported many initiatives supporting dementia patients in the hospital, like refurbishing St. Anne's Dementia Friendly Ward and funding unique 'RITA' (Reminiscence/Rehabilitation & Interactive Therapy Activities) technology that helps patients remember and share events from their past and so much more.
