Story
Everyone grieves differently but imagine being a young child when one day a parent is there and next day they are gone. How confusing this must be for them.
Alba was only 18months old when her mum, Anna, died from bowel cancer
She was so young that she could not fully communicate how she was feeling. As a widower, and dealing with my own grief, I sometimes had no idea how to help Alba or if I was doing the write thing.
Daisy’s Dream helped guide me through Alba’s grief offering support and advice. Advice on things to say and do and also reassurance that how Alba was reacting was normal and that I was doing nothing wrong.
Each year Daisy's Dream support around 700 children and young people through their bereavement. Whether they are facing the death of someone they love or have already experienced their loss, our professionally qualified Therapeutic Practitioners are on hand to offer families the support and guidance they need.
All of our work is provided to families completely free of charge, but in order to do so, Daisy's Dream need to raise over £450,000 a year to cover our costs. Please give what you can.
