Story
Hi Friends & Family,
Thank you for visiting our page. We are fundraising to help children affected by the flooding in Libya.
On 10 and 11 September massive Mediterranean Storm Daniel ripped through Libya. The deadly storm caused two dams to collapse near the port of Derna, leading to catastrophic floods.
More than 3,500 people are reported dead, and 9,000 people are reported missing. 300,000 children are affected, and numbers are rising.
People have been stranded in their homes with no electricity and access to water. Some have been evacuated and given temporary shelter in schools, hotels, and relatives’ houses. Three main hospitals and four clinics are completely out of service.
UNICEF is responding urgently to this disaster, supporting the Government of Libya to reach affected children and families with life-saving supplies and services.
Any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
Yours,
Bharat (dad), Aysha, Sahil, & Nishal (the kids)
