Story

The Salvation Army as a Christian Church and Charity has been working in Ebbsfleet Garden City since 2022 supporting people of all ages and backgrounds. In that time, we have been establishing regular opportunities for people to meet and engage, as well as listening to the need of the local community.

Ebbsfleet is made up many different villages – Castle Hill, Ebbsfleet Green, Alkerden, Ashmere, Ebbsfleet Cross, Springhead, Harbour Village and Cable Wharf as well as the existing towns of Northfleet and Swanscombe. To help us make a difference in all these communities we need to be mobile, and that is why we are currently focussing our fundraising to support a mobile community space. We are hoping to have commissioned a vehicle very similar to the one in the images by the end of this financial year. The space will offer social opportunities and events to build local connections and relationships, reduce isolation, as well as creating a safe space for young people and support our aim to deliver the much-needed street-based youth work and activities as identified by the local young people.

Thank you to all those that have contributed or undertaken fundraising activities in support of the work of The Salvation Army in Ebbsfleet.

(p.s. all donations go directly into use within Ebbsfleet Garden City and the surrounding area!).
