Story
Team East London x Wooden Spoon
October is all about giving back to the community.
This month, Team East London is getting into the spirit of giving by hosting a Halloween-themed charity walk – and we need your help!
We’re teaming up with Wooden Spoon, the Rugby Charity of Children, in their initiative Pass the Plate, to raise vital funds for the ones in need.
Date: October 31st
Time: 2 pm
Route: We'll be starting at the Woolpack in Bermondsey and will be finishing at the Owl and Pussycat in Shoreditch, stopping at a few of our favourite pubs!
At each stop, we’ll be offering bar snacks in exchange for donations, so your generosity will help feed someone in need!
About the initiative:
Wooden Spoon's 'Pass the Plate' campaign provides support for food banks and community schemes up and down the country.
Our partnership with Wooden Spoon will help people struggling to feed their families in these challenging economic times and will contribute to putting food on the plates of many.
Thank you for being part of our amazing East London Community,
we hope to see you there!

About Wooden Spoon:
Wooden Spoon is the childrens charity of rugby. We are a grant-making charity and fund life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland.
We have a national footprint, but the largest part of our income is raised by local volunteers. Our aim is that every penny that our volunteers raise is spent in their local communities.
We are asking you, the rugby community, to come together, in the true spirit of rugby and help us change young peoples lives through charities such as Pass the Plate.
The scheme will see Wooden Spoon provide local programmes with monetary donations to help people in these challenging economic times and, will contribute to putting food on the plates of many.
