Only about 100 children in the UK are diagnosed with AML annually, making it a rare form of leukemia in children. Two weeks into her treatment, Florence (pictured) was classified as ‘high risk.’

Florence’s family continues fundraising for her treatment with the support of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. Fundraising through the charity allows donations to be eligible for gift aid, and some organisations may provide match funding. Recent genetic tests confirmed a rare gene rearrangement affecting fewer than 10% of children with AML, with a very poor prognosis. We must act swiftly to secure the right treatment.
