Story
Hey guys!
I will be running an ultra marathon of 101km on September 6th and have decided to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, as my beloved grandmother recently passed away with dementia. 💜
Dementia is a devastating disease that affects millions of people worldwide, robbing them of their memories and independence. Witnessing my grandmother’s struggle made me realize the critical importance of maintaining a healthy mind. Our mental health is as vital as our physical health, and it’s something we should all strive to nurture and protect.
Mummy Jan (our Canadian name for her) will be my biggest drive through this training period. By participating in this ultra marathon, I aim to honor her memory and contribute to the ongoing support provided by the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Their work is crucial in improving the lives of those affected by dementia.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Any support you can provide, whether through donations or sharing this post would mean the world to me!
Let’s play our part in creating a future where our minds can stay sharp and healthy throughout our lives. 🧠💪
I appreciate your support! 💜
