Story
Starting on the 10th of March 2024 we aim to run 1 Half Marathon each month for a total of 12 months, in memory of our auntie - Lesley Brooks.
Lesley lived with an incredibly rare chronic condition - Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). Currently, this condition has no cure & continues to be largely misunderstood - often being misdiagnosed or missed entirely.
https://youtu.be/SUFFWxyJXEg - What is PH?
PH can affect anybody - regardless of age, gender or ethnic background. The earlier that this condition is diagnosed - the more support can be provided, hopefully allowing for an improved life expectancy.
Lesley lived with PH for 10 years and approached each adversity with positivity. Her positive mental attitude & good humour was infectious.
The ability to put one foot in front of the other in an ever uphill battle against a degenerative illness; all whilst maintaining mental, physical & emotional strength was testament to her character.
Above all else, it is our goal to raise awareness of this rare condition, alongside raising vital funds for PHA UK. Every donation will ensure that PHA UK can continue to fund research, raise awareness & provide better treatments, with the goal of one day finding a cure for this disease.
We're already looking forward to the Inverness Half!
All donations are incredibly appreciated, helping spur us on through the tough miles.
Thank you for your support,
Duncan & Rory

The PHA UK receives no government funding, so every penny donated plays a vital role in helping them support people to live better lives with PH.
