Participants: Vicki & Duncan Webb, Anne & Brendan Twomey, Emer Bernsten, Avila Dinsdale and Linda Baker
After an intense, gruelling couple of years and the very sad passing of our special little granddaughter Hallie, a group of friends very kindly wanted to raise money for Hallie’s Helping Hands, which is a special named fund for research into juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML).
JMML is a very rare cancer of the blood which affects babies and young children. This fund is administered by the CCLG - Children Cancer and Leukaemia group to fund top class research.
Two of Hallie’s grandparents, Vicki & Duncan have madly decided to join forces with their friends in taking part on the Cotswold Way Challenge.
This challenge is to attempt a 53km walk from Cirencester to Wotton on 22nd June where we can celebrate Hallie, her legacy and support the much needed research fund into this awful illness.
Hallie is a name that an enormous amount of people in the UK, Ireland and the world will have heard over the last two years.
Hallie was a fighter, battling JMML with the most beautiful, infectious, and constant smile.
This team is honouring Hallie and her fight against this type of cancer so that hopefully no other child endure what Hallie went through.
Can you help and potentially transform a child’s and their family’s life, now and in the future?
If so, please make a donation to encourage us.
Let’s make a difference!
Thank you from us all xx
