The Yorkshire 3 Peaks , 24 June 2023
In memory of Warren Dowson
Rob Burrow was an inspiration. Despite facing his own challenges, he was devoted to raising awareness and funds to help people living with MND in Leeds and their loved ones, until the end.

Story

I'm supporting this amazing appeal because the first time I heard of MND was when Don Revie was diagnosed with it. Fast forward to 2016 and unfortunately my wife’s brother Warren Dowson was given the news he had the same horrible disease. Watching a very active person battle this disease and seeing how it affected his wife and children was heartbreaking. Warren sadly passed away in 2018 leaving a massive hole in the Dowson family. When Doddie, Rob and Stephen were diagnosed and brought MND to the forefront of people’s minds I knew to a degree what they would be going through. So on June 24th me and a few mates, plus my step daughter are going to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks in an attempt to raise a few quid for the MND Rob Burrow centre. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated. For all those who are suffering with or have seen the pain this terrible disease brings.
