Story
Our bold vision is that every young person can experience the outdoors in a meaningful way. 10,900 young people rely on the Y's Camping and Outdoor Leadership programs to experience the outdoors and find themselves in nature. They are growing, becoming more confident, and nurturing a connection to nature that inspires responsibility and stewardship.
We are committed to ensuring that youth who are traditionally underrepresented in the outdoors, like LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth, have the opportunity to experience the outdoors. We design our programs to reduce and remove barriers for youth to experience the outdoors regardless of experience, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, sexuality, or ability.
