What’s that…? Another ridiculous walking challenge…?
Yep. After the success of our Moonwalk Marathon last year (and allowing enough time for our feet to heal…) we have signed up to do the Thames Path Ultra Challenge in September – which is an ultra-marathon distance.
Our team is made up of women from local businesses in Gloucestershire: @Tandem Consultancy, @WSP Solicitors, @Eight Legal and @Hughes Paddison. We are @Hayley Parker, @Elaine Warwicker, @Kay Hamblin, @Kim Whalen-Blake, @Bella Chambers and @Judi Bonham.
In a single day, three of us will be walking 50 km (31 miles) and three of us will be walking 72 km (45 miles). That’s 366 km (228 miles) in total!!
We are raising money and awareness for MNDA, a charity that supports people with Motor Neurone Disease, their families and carers. They focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.
Motor Neurone Disease is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. MND can have people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. There is currently no cure.
Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the MND Association. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure, your details are safe - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Thank you again
