Story
Choosing Brain Tumour Research to be our charity of choice was a simple choice due to the frightening reality this terrible illness has on people of all ages. This was brought home when Colin’s friend, diagnosed aged 35 with a 1 year old son, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GMB) and without treatment had three months to live. The treatment has been successful but sadly with current medicine and treatments this awful disease will return and likely will not be treatable in the same way.
What shocked us most was 12,000 people in the UK are diagnosed every year but survival rates have barely improved in 40 years, thankfully this cannot be said for other cancers but this HAS to change.
This year we aim to have collaborative tastings, use our presence at festivals and other events to raise awareness and funds for this undoubtedly important cause.
