Story
Medical Life Lines Ukraine has (as of the end of Aug 2024) delivered 72 aid-filled ambulances to Ukraine alongside 21 generators and one all-terrain rescue crane since Putin's illegal full-blown invasion of Ukraine. This work has undoubtedly saved lives and - perhaps more importantly - shown the people of Ukraine that a huge number of people in the outside world are acutely aware of their plight and keen to help them in whatever way that they can.
Ambulance update: We've hit our fundraising target!
Thanks to the wonderful support we've received, my co-driver Paul Samrah and I have managed to exceed our original target of buying and refurbishing an ambulance. BUT we want your help doing more!
As the date of our departure approaches, it is starting to feel very real. On the 22 Sept we will set off at the crack of dawn to drive an ambulance filled with humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
We are helping replace these destroyed ambulances
We've filled it with essential humanitarian and medical aid. With the additional funds raised, we've been able to purchase more vital supplies, based on our regular contact with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and the Department of Health in Ukraine.
However, in our most recent discussions with SESU, over and above the usual medical supplies (field dressings, tourniquets etc.), they highlighted an urgent need as winter approaches. With the national heating infrastructure badly damaged, there is a very specific need for:
- Dark coloured men’s winter clothes
- Sleeping bags and mats
- Generators
We are making a late but crucial push to raise additional funds to help address these specific needs. Your support is vital in providing ongoing, resolute support to the brave men and women in Ukraine.
If you can join and support us on this mission, it would be fantastic. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact.
