Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Gill was diagnosed with MND earlier this year and has discovered the true meaning of life being too short to put off doing things. So we are now gathering our crew of crazies together to take a leap of faith and jump out of a fully functioning aeroplane and sky dive in aid of the Woking hospice who do great work in our area for those with terminal illnesses.

A small army of Gill's nearest and dearest have agreed to jump, including Gill, who says "what's worst that can happen?", a question I'm very much hoping not to find out the answer to as we hurtle towards the ground at 120mph! Because of her illness there is a chance that she may not be allowed to jump, at which point, we will be looking for another willing volunteer to take her place.

However, as a family we are hoping we can all jump together.

We will be jumping (weather permitting) on 6th October, so fingers crossed we don't need to send too many reminders to you all to donate.

Not all of Gill's friends are quite as courageous as her adrenalin junky jump crew. These ladies term themselves as the Ground Crew... available for moral and financial support.

Now what comes down, must surely go up!!! So, they will be supporting the Jump Crew by "stepping" each of the 8-strong jumpers up to their respective 10,000ft launch height (total 80,000ft, or 2.75 Everest's, or to the edge of space! depending on how you visualize things) in time for the jump.

We will keep you posted on their progress as they gain virtual altitude, so watch this space.
