Dottie’s Brick-tastic Challenge – Walking for Evan & Little Havens!

Fire Walk & Lego Walk 2025 · 12 April 2025 ·
Hi everyone!
I’m Dottie, I’m 10 years old, and I’m about to do something brave, slightly ridiculous, and definitely painful—I’m walking barefoot across a path of LEGO to raise money for Little Havens Children’s Hospice!
But this challenge is about more than just proving I have the toughest feet around—I’m doing it in memory of my little brother, Evan.
Evan was born in 2016 with a rare chromosomal condition called Patau’s Syndrome. He was only here for 11 precious hours, but he changed our lives forever. I was almost 2 when he died, and since then, Little Havens has been there for me and my family. Their amazing Wellbeing Team has supported me as I’ve grown up, helping me understand my grief and giving me a place where Evan is always remembered.
Now, I want to give back. This Lego Walk might not be as tough as what Evan went through, but it’s my way of doing something challenging in his name—and making sure other families get the same care and support we did.
💛 Why Little Havens?
Little Havens is a lifeline for families like mine, offering specialist care to children with life-limiting conditions, as well as bereavement support for siblings like me. They rely on donations to keep helping families across Essex, so every penny really does make a difference!
🎯 My Target:
I need to raise £60, but I’d love to smash that goal and raise even more for this incredible charity!
🙏 How You Can Help:
1️⃣ Click Donate—every little bit helps!
2️⃣ Share my page with your friends and family!
3️⃣ Send me some words of encouragement… I’ll need them when my feet are screaming at me mid-walk! 😆
This challenge means the world to me. For Evan, for Little Havens, and for every child and family they support—thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💙
Love,
Dottie (Future Lego Warrior and Fundraising Hero!)
