As you know I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few months ago. Some of you will know it had already been a difficult year with so much going on. Court cases, selling the former family home, divorcing, custody arrangements, and then cancer to boot.

Today is chemo number 8. My final treatment. I have surgery booked for November and then I hope to be cancer free for Christmas!

Next Friday I am doing a bake sale and dressing in pink at work to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. I have always raised money for this cause at work …and now I know why!

I didn’t get checked out for a year even though I had concerns. My reasons for not going stopped being reasons in January of this year and I finally started focusing on me and Olivia, and lucky that I did. We found it in time!

I have set up this page because I want to give back to the people that helped save my life. Still a way to go but without funding many people will continue to live not knowing they have cancer. We need to raise awareness, not just for when you’re older, but 20/30/40 year olds are being diagnosed every day. If you have any concerns get checked out. Even if you don’t know what you’re searching for go get checked out. I didn’t have a lump, I had a slightly harder mass. I blamed it on losing weight because I hadn’t felt it before but then I though what if. My daughter would grow up without me. A month later I had started chemo!

This has been a massive journey alongside so much other stuff going on in my life but the support I have received has been simply amazing. It has been unwavering and I have never felt alone.

Thank you all so much for every act of kindness along my cancer journey. Sharing my journey has been difficult but I’m so glad I have because we need to raise awareness. 1 in 7 women in the UK will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. How scary is that? And it’s not just women! Men are also diagnosed. So I will continue to talk about it so that even if one extra person gets checked out and one life is saved it will be worth it!!
