Story

Six Months to the Day

I am going to do a return cycle from Johnstone to Irvine Beach – Total 50 miles

I am supporting Killin Mountain Rescue, this is the team that rescued me from Ben More in January of this year, exactly six months to the day of the cycle

What they Said: -

“On Sunday 14th January, the team was deployed by Police Scotland Forth Valley to assist a hill goer on Ben More, Crianlarich. Following a severe fall on challenging ground, the individual sustained serious injuries. Some of the team members were airlifted by Maritime and Coastguard Agency Rescue199 to the casualty’s location to assist in the evacuation of the injured person to hospital by air. The ground was very challenging for both the team and Rescue 199 to operate in and required exceptional teamwork by both assets to ensure the best outcome for the injured person”.

The unpaid volunteers of Killin Mountain Rescue are available to assist members of the Public who find themselves in difficulty on the mountains and in remote areas of West Perthshire every day of the year

They do this without payment!!!!
