Almost three years ago our lives were shattered when our daughter, Laura, died by suicide having suffered with depression.

She was a beautiful, talented young woman of 35, who had dedicated her life to the service of others through her work in the charity sector. The world is a much poorer place without her.

Last year I ran in this event - the first ever for me and we were delighted to raise over £14,500 for BLG Mind. With your support we hope to raise further valuable funding for the Mindsup programme.

In conjunction with the Stubbs family, who suffered a similar tragedy, we are fundraising for BLG Mind to raise awareness of mental health amongst young people and to encourage them to speak out and ask for support when they need it. To enable this, qualified trainers works closely with secondary school students across the Bromley, Lewisham, and Greenwich boroughs , providing all young people with information about how to access follow up services, if they need it. So far the programme has already benefitted nearly 6,500 young people, of which 7.5% requested additional support. Of those who sought help up to 67% were not previously known as needing help. We need your support to reach many more. Any donations will go straight towards funding this project.
