Dominique's trek to Everest Base Camp for Justice and Care

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) in Nepal.
Justice and Care rescue and restore the lives of women and children who have been trafficked and in turn brutally exploited. They fight slavery by pursuing and dismantling criminal networks, bringing those responsible to justice.
During March I will be travelling to Nepal and attempting to trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) in aid of Justice and Care Charity. If all goes to plan (wish me luck), I’ll reach base camp on 26th March 2024.
Freedom of travel is something that we all sometimes take for granted, and as someone who is privileged enough to travel regularly, it’s so important to me to raise money for such an important cause.
There are an estimated 100,000 victims of human trafficking and modern slavery in the UK alone silently hidden – in places like car washes, brothels, nail bars and restaurants. In our neighbourhoods and on our streets.
We are so lucky to be able to choose where we travel to, and to pursue our own dreams in life, but there are so many people who do not have that freedom.

If you believe a person is being trafficked and is in immediate danger, you should call 999 straight away. You can also report suspicions of trafficking by calling 101 or visiting your local police station.
