I have the privilege of spending this year working with Adventure Plus, training as an activity instructor and meeting many of the amazing young people they work with. I have decided to take on the A+ Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, walking 38.6km in distance and 1585 m in height to raise funds for A+. My goal is to complete this in 12 hours on 31st May. It’ll be a challenge for me because I have never done anything like this before. I have always loved the outdoors and signed up for as many adventure training camps during my time as an air cadet as possible. Unfortunately, due to the lockdown, a lot of those opportunities fell through. I am really looking forward to testing myself on this expedition.

Adventure Plus matters to me because since joining in September, I have made lifelong friends and this organisation has given me experience and spiritual growth that will help me go further in life.

All the money raised will be match-funded by generous donors meaning that anything you give will be worth double- and 2.5x with Gift Aid! The funds will go towards digging a 4-acre lake which will bring many benefits such as enabling A+ to offer exciting water sports to happen on-site safely, all year round... and creating opportunities for wildlife conservation and education.

This is part of exciting developments on site to build the Adventure Base which will enable us to welcome many more children and young people helping them get active, push themselves and learn more about who they are and what they are capable of. This is all within the bigger perspective of the Christian faith which is at the heart of what we do.
