Story
I'm doing ten challenges each month for ten months to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of my dad who died 10 years ago.
Paul is my biggest inspiration and was the warmest, friendliest, and most passionate person you could ever meet. The man could talk the hind legs off a donkey!
He died way too soon from cancer and kidney problems.
So to mark a decade since Dad's death - I'm doing 10 challenges each month for 10 months in Jersey, Guernsey, and England.
They are:
JAN - BOULEY BAY - Run up and down on the steepest road climbs in Jersey five times which will see me run 10 miles in total.
FEB - DOUBLE BOTTOM - Run from one side of the south coast (Corbière) to the other (La Rocque) and back, which would be about 29 miles long.
MAR - EL DIABLO - one of the toughest trail half marathons in Jersey
APR - BRIGHTON MARATHON
MAY - TRAIL FEST - a race along Jersey's tough north coast which is about 40 miles.
JUNE - GUERNSEY ISLAND WALK - Walk and run around Guernsey's coast which is about 36 miles long.
JULY - POST TO POST - I run to the football club grounds in the top division in the league in Jersey as Dad loved his football which would be about 24 miles long.
AUG - ROUND THE ROCK - A 48-mile run around Jersey.
SEPT - THE BIG HALF - I'll try to run a quick half marathon in London.
OCT - JERSEY MARATHON - Finish with the only race I've ever had to pull out of and will try to finish it in under four hours.
