Fundraising for Young Epilepsy
Hi, I'm Dylan, and this year I've decided to run the Paris Marathon in aid of Young Epilepsy.
My relationship with the charity began even before I was born when my mum started working at Young Epilepsy as a student support worker. Over the past 24 years on and off, she has served Young Epilepsy and surrounding hospitals, not only in her professional role but also by supporting the local epilepsy community. She has organized summer activity days and annual Christmas events to benefit local charities.
Attending and supporting these events allowed me to witness the profound impact of community within the epilepsy world. I gained a deeper understanding of how services like Young Epilepsy and their dedicated staff positively influence the lives of young people living with epilepsy.
This experience led me to spend more time assisting with the organization, setups, and planning of additional summer and Christmas events, along with other fundraising activities like our popular Quiz & Curry nights.
Raising money for Young Epilepsy is essential because it supports a cause that directly impacts the lives of young people living with epilepsy. YE is committed to improving the lives of children and young adults through education, health services, and research.
By raising funds, we can help provide essential resources and support services, advance research for better treatments, and foster a more inclusive society where young individuals with epilepsy can thrive. Your contribution will make a significant difference in ensuring that these young people receive the care and opportunities they deserve.
Your generous support would greatly benefit this cause and help us make a meaningful impact. Any amount you can donate is deeply appreciated.
With a few months to go, I can't wait to get started!
